American Medical Billing Association (AMBA)

Mission Statement:  To promote continuity in the medical billing and coding industry.

Celebrating its 22^th anniversary in 2020, the American Medical Billing Association is a steadfast example of what it means to be the “gold standard”.  Customer support and appreciation rank #1 among AMBA’s priorities, followed closely, in no specific order by association growth, product development, and low price point on all products.  AMBA thrives in supporting it’s nearly 17,000 customers and 5,000 members nationwide.  Industry news is broadcast daily to our social media followers.  Each month AMBA hosts at least 1 free webinar to promote continuing education (CEU’s).  On average 1,000 people participate in each medical billing and coding related webinar.

The Certifying Board of the American Medical Billing Association (CBAMBA) has proudly credentialed over 10,000 certified medical billers.  The Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) is the longest standing medical billing certification in the industry (20 years). Only those individuals who are AMBA members are allowed to acquire and retain the CMRS credential.

AMBA hosts the Annual National Medical Billing Conference for its members.  This year marks the 20^th consecutive year that AMBA members will gather to network amongst each other.  The very best speakers in the medical billing and coding industry are sure to be in the lineup.  This enables each participant to remain current with industry regulation.

Through the efforts of AMBA and its members, the last Thursday in March of every year is celebrated as National Medical Biller’s Day.  This helps bring awareness and recognition to the medical billing community.

Through the aforementioned avenues and countless others, the American Medical Billing Association is striving daily to promote continuity in the medical billing and coding industry.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded by random drawings held on the last day of the conference.  Winners will be listed on the conference's closing session page.  Winners will also be notified by email.  Only one prize will be awarded per person.  Prize winners may exchange prizes if both parties email support@healthadmin.org.
